Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a person recognition device which is mounted in a garbage collector 100, which recognizes a person near a garbage slot 4 from an image taken by a camera 7, and which can more accurately determine whether or not the person is in a dangerous area.SOLUTION: In a person recognition device of the present invention, a camera 7 is arranged above a garbage slot 4; the center of an imaging lens 70 thereof is positioned between front and rear edges 4a and 4b of the garbage slot 4 in a plan view; and an optic axis A of the imaging lens 70 is directed toward the garbage slot 4. Data on an image taken by the camera 7 are input into an image processing unit 8, and it is determined whether or not a person H is ahead of the rear edge 4b (boundary line B) of the garbage slot 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
