To provide a garbage presence/absence display device for a container, capable of easily confirming whether garbage is contained inside or not with a simple structure wherever the container is placed.
This closed type container 1 has a gate 4 connected to a push-out port of a compactor and a movable cover plate 5 for closing the gate 4. A push-out plate provided inside the compactor and the cover plate 5 are linked with the gate 4 and the push-out port being connected. The reciprocating movement of the push-out plate compresses the garbage inside the compactor and transports the garbage from the push-out port through the gate 4 to the container 1. On an inside surface of the front wall 11 of the container 1, a detection member 81 is install between a detection position where the detection member 81 is disposed along the front wall 11 and an inclined position where the detection member 81 is disposed so as to be inclined rearward with free back-and-forth-oscillation. A notifying device 83 is installed for notifying an external worker that the garbage is contained when the detection member 81 is pressed by the garbage to the front wall 11 side and disposed at the detection position.
