To enable a caretaker to use a garbage disposal device safely by making a key attachable/detachable to/from a keylock device for locking the opening/closing of the inlet lid of the garbage disposal device.

In the garbage disposal device, a housing tank having a garbage inlet opened/closed by the inlet lid is provided with a heating means for heating garbage housed in the tank and an agitation means for agitating the garbage, the keylock device for locking the inlet lid by a key when the inlet lid is closed is attached to a device main body, a locking detection means for detecting the locked state and unlocked state of the keylock device is installed, and a control means for making the heating means or the agitation means operable while the locked state of the keylock device is detected by the locking detection means is installed. While the heating means or the agitation means is being operated, the key can be attached/detached to/from the key lock device.
