To provide a garbage treating apparatus which enables the prevention of mold growth on a blast drying part and enhances a decomposition performance of garbage on a micro-organism decomposing part.
The garbage treating apparatus is provided with a micro-organism decomposing part 21 which decomposes the garbage 26 with micro-organism, the blast drying part 28 which dries the garbage 26 with the blast from a blower 33 and a communicating part 31 which makes the micro-organism decomposing part 21 communicate with the blast drying part 28. Further, the garbage treating apparatus is constituted in such a manner that the garbage 26 dried in the blast drying part 28 is moved to the micro-organism decomposing part 21 and, thereafter, the micro-organism decomposing part 21 is ventilated by the blast from a blower 33 for a prescribed time via the communicating part 31. Thereby, the surface of the dried garbage attached to the inner surface of the blast drying part 28 is further dried by the blown outside air and, therefore, the mold growth on the blast drying part 28 can be prevented. In addition, since the blown outside air ventilates the micro-organism decomposing part 21, the decomposition performance of the garbage on the micro-organism decomposing part 21 can be enhanced.
