To shorten time required for drying and improve the drying finish state of garbage when the drying process is ended without giving to a user such a sensation that the garbage is insufficiently dry because it becomes bulbous, in the garbage disposer which dries and disposes of the garbage to be generated at a general household kitchen or a kitchen for professional food serving facilities.
The garbage in a drying chamber for drying the garbage is heated using a heating means 2 and is stirred with the help of a stirring means 4. In addition, the operation of the stirring means 4 is controlled by a control means 18 depending upon the drying degree of the garbage. The control means 18 stops the operation of the stirring means 4 during the early stage of a starting operation and prolongs time for non-stirring by the stirring means 4 when the drying degree of the garbage is low and cuts short the time for non-stirring by the stirring means 4 when the drying degree of the garbage is high, after the early stage of a starting operation.
