To prevent a blowing means from being heated by a heating means and thereby, facilitate the insulation of the blowing means against heat and keep the temperature of the blowing means from rising, in a garbage disposer with such a contrivance that a hot blast is sent to garbage in a garbage storage vessel by the blowing means and the heating means and thereby, the garbage is dried.
The blowing means 13 is installed at a lid hinge side 2a in the inner space part of a body lid 2, avoiding the garbage storage vessel 4 and the top of the heating means 12 disposed above the vessel 4, and the blowing means 13 is constituted of a Silocco fan 13a. In addition, a lid air intake aperture 2b and a lid air exhaust aperture 2c which communicate with the interior of the body lid 2 and are covered with a wall, only a part below of which is openable, are formed on the side faces of the body lid 2. Thus the open air is introduced into the body lid 2 from the lid air intake aperture 2b to cool a fan motor 13b and the Silocco fan 13a and then is exhausted from the lid air exhaust aperture 2c.
