To provide a garbage disposer which prevents garbage containing a high percentage of carbohydrate such as cooked rice from becoming a dumpling-like matter even when such garbage is disposed of and is best-suited for a high circulation-type recycle society and uses the dried garbage as compost.
This garbage disposer comprises a storage container 1 for storing the garbage, a temperature detection means 14 for detecting the internal temperature of the storage container 1 and a stirring means 6 which stirs the garbage inside the storage container 1. Compared to the case with the drying disposal of the ordinary garbage, the stirring frequency of the stirring means 6 is reduced when the routine garbage disposal and the drying disposal of the garbage containing a high percentage of carbohydrate such as the cooked rice are carried out. Thus, it is possible to securely perform the drying disposal while preventing the garbage from becoming a large dumpling-like matter after drying.
