To provide an inexpensive garbage disposer with simplified components and a miniaturized fan.
This garbage disposer is provided with a container 2 containing garbage; a heating device provided in a body 1, having a drying heater 7 and an air fan 8 and heating and drying garbage in the container 2 by circulating hot air; a fan case 9 provided in the body 1, covering the air fan 8, and communicatedly connected to a hot air blow-out duct 32 and a suction duct 33; and a lid 20 provided to open and close an upper part of the container 2. The drying heater 7 and air fan 8 are provided at a diagonally upper part of the container 2 with a center axis of the container 2 roughly orthogonal to a center axis of the air fan 8, and an air duct 19 is provided to allow a part of the air by the air fan 8 flow into a part between a connection part of the suction duct 33 with the blow-out duct 32 of the fan case 9. This configuration eliminates the heating means from the lid 20, to provide the inexpensive garbage disposer with a miniaturized turbo fan 27 sucking steam.
