To realize a garbage processor which can automatically decrease the volume and quantity of garbage, deodorize and exhaust the garbage and improve the direct contact between drying air and garbage as well as drying efficiency.
A garbage processor comprises two drying chambers 8 and 12 having an agitator 7 with a common rotation shaft, a combustion device and a heat exchanger for heating drying air with combustion gas. In the garbage processor, when air including an odor component is used as the combustion air of the combustion device, and garbage is heated, deodorized and exhausted, the garbage is not conveyed to the second drying chamber 12 during the drying process of the garbage. After the drying process is completed, the rotation shaft of the agitator is rotated in an opposite direction so that the garbage is exhausted form the second drying chamber 12. A duct plate 27 having an air outlet 25 for directly guiding the drying air to the lower part of the first drying chamber 8 is inserted into the first drying chamber 8.
