To provide a garbage treating apparatus which treats garbage containing a large quantity of moisture to change it to combustible garbage or dry garbage which can be used as an organic dry fertilizer for a family garden.
The garbage treating apparatus is constituted of a crushing device having a garbage charging port, a solid-liquid separator and a drying device. In the garbage treating apparatus with a crushing device, moisture-containing garbage produced at the time of cooking is charged into the crushing device from the garbage charging port to finely and homogeneously crush the garbage and then is sent to the solid-liquid separator together with moisture to separate solid garbage from the moisture. Then wet solid garbage is sent to the drying device to obtain dry garbage or a decomposing enzyme is added to the wet solid garbage after separation to perform the treatment.
