To provide a garbage treating apparatus by which garbage having long fiber can be discharged without producing clogging at an entrance of a discharging port or at a trap section connected with the discharging port, and subjected to crushing and discharging treatment in a comparatively short period of time.
The garbage treating apparatus is provided with a pulverizing chamber which is communicated with a charging port where garbage is charged, a pulverizing section which has a rotary disk provided at a bottom part of the pulverizing chamber and a pulverizing means, a motor section which rotates the rotary disk, a discharging section which has the discharging port for discharging the garbage pulverized at the pulverizing section and a water feeding section which feeds washing water to the pulverizing chamber, wherein an impeller stretching downward is installed at a lower surface of the rotary disk and further intermittent operation O1 is performed for carrying out intermittent driving of the motor section for a predetermined time.
