To provide a garbage treating apparatus intended for improved drying performance and reduced costs.
The garbage treating apparatus has a resin-made treatment container 21 drying garbage 24, a ventilating mechanism 36 ventilating the inside of the treatment container 21, an agitating mechanism 25 agitating garbage 24, a metal-made heat-conductive container 28 adhering to the treatment container 21 and a heating mechanism 33 heating the heat-conductive container 28. The heating mechanism 33 heats the heat-conductive container 28 almost uniformly, allowing the heat-conductive container 28 to be heated almost entirely to high temperatures. The heat-conductive container 28 then heats the treatment container 28 adhering to it to high temperatures, e.g. 130C. The adhesion of the treatment container 21 to the heat-conductive container 28 enables entire heating of the treatment container 21 with less heat loss. Direct heating of garbage 24, with agitation, by the treatment container 21 leads to high heating efficiency, improved drying performance and a structural cost reduction.
