To provide a garbage treating machine constituted so that after garbage is discharged to a discharge vessel, the discharged garbage is prevented from being scattered on the outside of the discharge vessel.
The garbage treating machine is provided with: a drying chamber 1 for drying garbage; a discharge port 12 through which the dried garbage is discharged to the outside of the drying chamber 1; an agitation means (a conveyance means) 5 for conveying the dried garbage to the discharge port 12; the discharge vessel 28 in which the dried garbage discharged through the discharge port 12 is housed and which has a discharge vessel cover 29 to be opened/closed; a blocking means 30 for moving the discharge vessel cover 29 to block the discharge vessel 28; and a control means (not shown in Fig.) for controlling the conveyance means 5 and the blocking means 30. The control means performs control that after the discharge of the dried garbage is completed, the discharge vessel 28 is blocked. As a result, the dried garbage can be prevented from being scattered on the outside of the discharge vessel 28 after the dried garbage is discharged to the discharge vessel 28.
