Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage treating machine by which the original volume and weight of garbage are reduced by drying it, the garbage is never decomposed or mildewed even when let stand, much labor is not required in the post treatment, and the garbage is efficiently crushed and agitated.
SOLUTION: The garbage in a garbage container 2 is crushed and agitated by a fixed blade provided to the inner wall of the container 2 and a rotary blade 5 furnished to the inner bottom of the container 2, and at least the rotary blade 5 is intermittently operated. The garbage introduced into the container 2 is crushed, agitated, heated by a heater 8 and dried. Although the crushed and dried garbage is left in the container 2, the water activity is lowered due to the dryness, and hence the garbage is never decomposed or mildewed even when held in the container 2. Further, since the rotary blade 5 is intermittently operated, the garbage is crushed and agitated more efficiently.
