To properly treat garbage and to improve the convenience for use by automatically controlling the work of the treatment without interposing the operation of workers after the garbage is charged.
In the garbage treatment apparatus provided with a heating means, a stirring means and an air supply means, a weight detecting means for detecting the weight of the garbage to be charged into a treating vessel and a controller for controlling the action of the heating means, the stirring means and the air supply means based on the weight of the garbage detected in the weight detecting means are provided. By the structure, the control of the action of the heating means or the like based on the detected weight of the garbage to be charged is performed, the workers need not perform any work after the garbage is charged and the treatment of the garbage is carried out under a proper treatment condition constantly by the automatic control. Then the operability and the convenience for use of the garbage treatment apparatus are remarkably improved as compared with a case where the workers are required to confirm the treatment condition frequently and to change the treatment condition.
