To provide a garbage treatment apparatus which can prevent the generation of offensive odor and can decompose garbage efficiently.
The garbage treatment apparatus is made to have a constitution which is provided with a drying part 28 having a blower means 31 for drying garbage 23 by the blower means 31, a microorganismic treatment tank 20 for decomposing the garbage 23 by microorganisms, an agitator 21 arranged in the tank 20, and an agitation controlling means 35 which is interlocked with the movement of the garbage 23 from the drying part 28 to the tank 20 and controls the agitator 21. After the garbage is moved to the tank 20, the agitator 21 can be operated appropriately so that the garbage 23 can be mixed sufficiently with the microorganisms in the tank 20, promoting the appropriate decomposition of the garbage 23. As a result, the garbage 23 can be decomposed well without generating offensive odor.
