To provide a garbage treatment apparatus capable of efficiently heating an object matter to be treated by using a co-generation system.
Atmospheric air Q is heated by passing through a suction air heat exchanger 4 and further heated by a heating apparatus 5 and flows to a treatment tank heat exchanger 6 in a lower part of a treatment tank 1, and in the treatment tank heat exchanger 6, heat exchange is carried out between the air heated by the heating apparatus and garbage 2 in the treatment tank 1 to heat the garbage 2. The heated garbage 2 is dewatered, dried, and decreased in the volume. The discharged air of the treatment tank heat exchanger 6 flows in a secondary heat exchanger 7 for suction air, and in the secondary heat exchanger 7 for suction air, heat exchange is carried out between the excess heat which is not used in the treatment tank heat exchanger 6 and the discharged air of the suction air heat exchanger 4 to further heat the discharged air of the suction air heat exchanger 4, and the discharged air of the treatment tank heat exchanger 6 flows in the treatment tank 1 through a suction port 1a in the top face and the air in the treatment tank 1 is discharged to the outside through a discharge port 1b in an upper part in a side face.
