To provide a garbage treatment apparatus having such performance that the garbage to be thrown in a treatment part is stably dried.
This garbage treatment apparatus is provided with the treatment part 21 of garbage 27, an exterior casing 25, an agitation means 22 for agitating garbage 27 and a supply means 36 for supplying air into the treatment part 21. A freely attachable/detachable cover 38 having an intake passage 39 in which the supply means 36 communicates with outdoor air is arranged on the exterior casing 25. Since sand, flue, etc. can be removed from the supply means 36 and the intake passage 39 by detaching the cover 38, the flow rate of the air from the supply means 36 can be kept and consequently the performance that the garbage to be thrown in the treatment part 21 is dried while sending air can be stabilized.
