To provide a garbage treatment apparatus realizing suppression of odor at a high temperature season and even at application of direct sunshine.
The garbage treatment apparatus is provided with a treatment part 21 for the garbage; a stirring means 22 for stirring the garbage at the treatment part 21; a temperature detection means 42 for detecting a temperature of outside air fed to the treatment part 21; a moisture content detection means 43 for detecting a moisture content in the treatment part 21; and a control part 44 for driving the stirring means 22 according to output of the moisture content detection means 43. When the temperature detection means 42 detects a higher temperature than a set value, the output of the moisture content detection means 43 is corrected to excessive moisture content or an amount of the stirring means 22 stirred relative to the output of the moisture content is changed to increase. Thereby, if the temperature detection means 42 detects the higher temperature than the set value, since the control part 44 drives the stirring means 22 to a drying side, suppression of odor can be realized at the high temperature season and even at application of direct sunshine.
