Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a smell from being dispersed and a surrounding environment from being polluted by uniformly mixing and sufficiently drying garbage even if the garbage is sticky.
SOLUTION: This garbage treatment apparatus comprises a screw mechanism 4 for crushing garbage 3 while conveying the garbage 3 along a horizontal direction, a rotation drum 5 for accommodating and drying the garbage 3 that has been crushed and conveyed while rotating about a horizontal axis and recharging part of the garbage into the screw mechanism 4, an airtight chamber 7 having the screw mechanism 4 and a rotation drum installed therein and a closed circulation conduit 23 for guiding and cooling air containing an odor component and moisture out of the rotation drum 5 and returning the air into the rotation drum after heating. In this case, a cooling means 25 for removing the moisture by cooling the air and a heating deodorizing means 26 for removing the odor component by heating the air after removal of the moisture are provided.
