To provide a garbage treatment method treating garbage as water treatment in the same way as various waste waters to prevent the generation of secondary environment pollution caused by dioxin or the like, the generation of a malodor or the like in the periphery of a treatment equipment and the generation of environmental disruption and relatively low in equipment cost.
Sludge H containing humus soil J is mixed with garbage B to store the resulting mixture and water is added to this stored mixture in an amt. of several times by wt. of the garbage B to grind the mixture and the obtained liquefied garbage sewage C is stored for a definite period while air is introduced into the sewage C and subsequently supplied to a biological treatment tank 4 where sludge H containing humus soil J is mixed under stirring by a predetermined flow rate to be decomposed by microorganisms in the sludge H while air is introduced into the treatment tank 4 and treated water (x) obtained by solid-liquid separation is discharged to sewage or rivers.
