To hygienically and easily treat garbage to a dry state so as to make the garbage hardly putrefactive.

A crushing chamber 1 into which the garbage is fed is internally provided with a crushing device 3 to crushing the garbage fed therein. The flank and base surface of the crushing chamber 1 are provided with heaters 8 and 9 to heat and dry the garbage in the crushing chamber 1, by which the garbage is made into the dry state and is made hardly putrefactive. During the heating and drying, an arm 4 is intermittently operated in the base within the crushing chamber 1 to intermittently agitate the garbage in such a manner that the heat of the heaters 8 and 9 is transmitted down to the inside of the garbage.
