PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas barrier material that can effectively suppress permeation of gas such as oxygen and water vapor.SOLUTION: Provided are: a gas barrier material produced using a monocyclic olefin ring-opening polymer formed only from a monocyclic olefin-derived structural unit; and a gas barrier material produced using a rubber crosslinked product obtained by crosslinking a rubber composition containing a monocyclic olefin ring-opening polymer formed only from a monocyclic olefin-derived structural unit and a crosslinking agent.SELECTED DRAWING: None
