PURPOSE: To provide a device which enables to perform given constant combustion or proportional combustion according to a load entirely without being influenced by the magnitude of feed gas pressure.
CONSTITUTION: When feed hot water detected by a temperature detecting element 28 increases in temperature and the temperature approaches a set value, a controller 30 is adapted to control an electric signal inputted to a motor 29 of a gas pump 22 according to a difference between the set temperature and the detected temperature. Thereby, the controller actuates to gradually decrease the rotation speed of a motor, and when the temperature of hot water attains the set temperature, an electric signal, holding the current rotation speed of a motor 29, continues to be inputted to the motor 29. When the amount of hot water fed is increased through further turning-on of a hot water faucet commencing with said condition, the load of the amount of heat is increased and the temperature of hot water is decreased. Since the temperature of hot water is normally detected, and immediately after it begins to decrease, the controller 30 causes the gas pump 22 to be increased in operation speed to increase the amount of combustion effected by a burner 24, resulting in maintenance of the temperature of hot feed water to the set temperature of hot water.
