PURPOSE: To reduce pressure loss, generated in a gas closing valve, to a minimum by improving passage structure in the gas closing valve.

CONSTITUTION: In a gas closing valve for a refrigerating cycle having a refrigerant flow passage 9 with an inlet side passage 9a and an outlet side passage 9b continuous being bent almost at a right angle and constituted in such a way as to close the appropriate place of the refrigerant flow passage 9 by a valve body 10, the inner wall of an orthogonal part 9c between the inlet side passage 9a and the outlet side passage 9b in the refrigerant flow passage 9 is formed of the continuous smooth wall surface without unevenness.
