To provide a gas cock which can be prevented from enlargement and moreover can be assembled easily.
The gas cock is characterized in that a handle 3 forms a horizontal hole 38 extending from its periphery to the inside, and an inner hole 39 extending coaxially to the horizontal hole 38 from a bottom face of this horizontal hole 38. The horizontal hole 38 is provided with a lock pin 4 which prevents the handle 3 from rotating from a closing position to an opening position when positioned at a sealing position. The inner hole 39 is provided with an engaging shaft 5 which regulates a rotating region of the handle 3 between the closing position and the opening position. The engaging shaft 5 is an independent member with respect to the lock pin 4, and the engaging shaft 5 is fixed in insertion to the inner hole 39 through the horizontal hole 38 after the handle 3 is connected to a tap body 1 and a valve body 2 before the lock pin 4 is inserted into the horizontal hole 38.
