Abstract:
To accurately detect low gas concentration of NOx or the like by preventing change of a cell output caused by temperature change due to a disturbance in a gas concentration detector having a plurality of cells.
An NOx sensor sensor element 101 has a pump cell 140 in a first chamber 120, and a sensor cell 150 decomposing NOx and residual oxygen and a monitor cell 160 decomposing only the residual oxygen in a second chamber 121. For example, the NOx concentration is detected from a current output difference of the sensor cell 150 and the monitor cell 160. An ECU 102 prevents fluctuation of output by correcting outputs of the sensor cell 150 and the monitor cell 160 in response to change of an element temperature.
