To instantly and accurately perform infrared absorption type gas concentration measurement, without any warm-ups or calibration with a reference gas.
The difference between the amount of detected infrared rays, obtained by a measurement cell 11A where a sample gas is introduced and infrared rays are applied from a light source 41 and the amount of detection infrared rays obtained by a measurement cell 11B, where the sample gas is introduced and no infrared rays are applied, is calculated for obtaining, the infrared components through the sample gas, without containing radiation components from each part, and at the same time, the difference between the amount of detection infrared rays obtained from a compensation cell 12A, where a comparison gas is introduced and infrared rays are applied from a light source 42 and the amount of detection infrared rays obtained by a compensation cell 12B, where the comparison gas is introduced and no infrared rays are applied is calculated for obtaining infrared components for indicating the absorption characteristics of transmission windows 21A and 22A, and gas concentration is obtained from both the infrared components, thus avoiding the influence of the gas and the temperature at each part of the device.
