To provide a gas cooking stove capable of increasing flow velocity of exhaust gas heating a peripheral surface of a trunk part on a rear side of a cylindrical pot, and capable of improving thermal efficiency.
A gas cooking stove 1 includes a cooking stove body 2, a combustion gas burner 4 disposed in a combustion chamber 3 in the cooking stove body 2, and a trivet 5 provided around an upper end opening 32 of the combustion chamber 3 and allowing exhaust gas from the combustion chamber 3 to flow out mainly from the rear part when a cylindrical pot P is placed. The gas cooking stove 1 has a pair of side wall parts 8 upwardly protruded from both side ends of a top plate part 24 of the cooking stove body 2 and arranged to be separated from each other in such a manner of not being brought into contact with a peripheral surface of a trunk part of the cylindrical pot P. The pair of the side wall parts 8 has a front end positioned between a boundary line M dividing the trivet 5 into a front half and a rear half and a front end of the cooking stove body 2, and has a recession 81 recessed inward on a wall surface on the cylindrical pot P side.
