Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent any gas form depositing on an insulator by providing gas discharging switches at specified intervals between electrodes in a discharging region, an insulation region and a shielding region so as to limit the discharge positions along the discharging electric passage during electrically discharging range. CONSTITUTION: Plural coaxial electrodes 2, 3 having coaxial holes 5, 6 are provided, a gas discharging route 10 is formed within a central electrically discharging region 11 and an insulation region 13 is formed on the edge of the electrode 3. In addition, charged particles are injected in the rear side space 24 of the electrode 2 so as to ignite gas discharge by means of a controller 25. The interval between electrodes 2, 3 is D in an electrically discharging region 11, d1 in the insulation range 13 and d2 in a shielding region 12, and intervals d1 , d2 are equal to each other and the interval D is made larger than intervals d1 , d2 . In addition, a means 18 for shielding an insulator 16 is provided in the shielding region 12. Owing to the abovementioned constitution, electrically discharging positions are limited inside of the electrically discharging region 11, particularly along a discharging route. Thus, gas deposition can be prevented because the insulator 16 cannot be seen directly.
