Abstract:
To provide a gas engine with a sub-chamber in which thermal efficiency can be advantageously improved due to a high expansion ratio without lowering the combustion efficiency of a combustion chamber even when the expansion ratio is raised.
In the gas engine with the sub-chamber for burning an air-fuel mixture in the combustion chamber by combustion flame jetted from a nozzle of the sub-chamber, an external angle formed by the center line of the nozzle of the sub-chamber and the bottom surface of the combustion chamber at the intersection of them is constantly set to 90 degrees or longer. A distance between the nozzle of the sub-chamber and the intersection is set to a prescribed distance or longer.
