To prevent a chemical reaction before use and cobustion by ununiformly mixing a 1st compsn. contg. specified fuel and a specified oxidizing agent with a 2nd compsn. contg. org. compd. fuel and a chlorate type oxidizing agent.
This gas generating powder contains, by weight, 80-95% 1st gas generating agent compsn. contg. 20-40% fuel (A) and 60-80% oxidizing agent (B) and 5-20% 2nd gas generating agent compsn. contg. 30-65% org. compd. fuel (C) and 35-70% oxidizing agent (D) in the form of an ununiform mixture. The fuel A consists of 50-85% triazole or tetrazole compd. and 15-50% water-soluble fuel. The oxidizing agent B consists of 20-100% transition metal oxide and the balance nitrate, chlorate or perchlorate of an alkali metal or an alkaline earth metal. The fuel C contains only C, O and H and has 35-65% O content. The oxidizing agent D is selected from among chlorate and perchlorate of an alkali metal and a mixture of them.
