Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas generator having excellent effect for preventing slag in combustion gas from flowing out to the outside and having excellent quality.
SOLUTION: This gas generator for the air bag is constituted in such a way that an igniter 30, gas generation agent 6, and a cooling/filter member 7 are sequentially arranged from the center toward an outer side in the radial direction on an inner side of a housing 3 formed by closing a side cylinder 1b having a plurality of gas discharge ports 8 and an end part of the side cylinder 1b by an upper lid 1a and a lower lid 2a and a metallic foil 9 covering the gas discharge ports 8 from an inner side is bonded on an internal wall face of the side cylinder 1b. A filter seal member 25 for sealing one end of the cooling/filter member 7 is pressed in the housing 3. The filter seal member 25 is bent onto a lower lid 2a side on an inside diameter side of the cooling/filter member 7, is abutted on the lower lid 2a, and is elastically held in the housing 3.
