Abstract:
To provide a small-sized gas generator for an assistant driver's seat airbag capable of supplying gas to the airbag when requiring the highest reaction for the restraint of an occupant to be protected.
This gas generator contains 1, 2 or 3 selected from the following requirements (a), (b), and (c), including a housing having a gas exhaust hole, an ignition means, and a gas generating agent molded body which is ignited by the ignition means to burn and generate combustion gas: (a) the internal volume of the gas generator is 200 to 400 cm3, (b) a ratio L/D of an axial length L of the gas generator to a diameter D is 0.6 to 1.5., and (c) the gas generation amount of the gas generating agent molded body is 1.5 to 4.5 mol.
