Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas generator in which high-temperature gas generated by the combustion of a gas generating agent can be efficiently cooled with simple constitution.SOLUTION: A gas generator 1A includes: a sectioning member 30 and a partition part 42 which section a space in a housing 10 into a combustion chamber S1, gas passage chamber S2 and a filter chamber S3. The sectioning member 30 includes: a cylindrical part 31; and an annular part 32 extending upward from the end part of the cylindrical part 31 towards the radially outside. The partition part 42 is arranged in the cylindrical part 31. The filter chamber S3 includes: a first space S3A, which is a space outside the cylindrical part 31; and a second space S3B, which is a space inside the cylindrical part 31. The filter 70A includes: a large-sized part 71 in which the outer shape of a cross-section orthogonal to the axial direction of the housing 10 is relatively large; and a small-sized part 72 in which it is relatively small. The filter 70A is arranged in such a way that the large-sized part 71 is located in the first space S3A and the small-sized part 72 reaches the second space S3B.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
