Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas generator where a combustion gas required for the expansion of an air bag is supplied and the expanded air bag can be made in a short time by regulating the shape of a gas generating agent although a combustion completion time is about 15 milliseconds.SOLUTION: A cylinder system gas generator includes: a housing; a holder; a closing member; a partition member; and a gas generating agent molded body. The gas generating agent molded body has an outer groove part, a combustion pipe conduit and a projection extended inside. A combustion gas required for the expansion of an air bag is supplied and the expanded air bag can be made in a short time by regulating the shape of a gas generating agent although a combustion completion time is about 15 milliseconds.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
