Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cylinder type gas generator which can be manufactured more rapidly and easily than the conventional one.SOLUTION: A gas generator 100 comprises: a bottomed cup-shaped member 60 in which a gas generating agent 30 capable of generating a working gas by combustion is charged; a housing 10 which includes therein a cup-shaped member mounting chamber 17 which is formed in a cylindrical shape by superimposing two semicylindrical members 10a and 10b so as to sandwich a component contained therein and allows the cup-shaped member to be mounted thereon, and a filter chamber 18 which accommodates a filter 40 through which the working gas generated in the cup-shaped member mounting chamber 17 passes; and a holder 20 which holds an exploder 50 containing an igniter, being mounted so as to close one end of the cup-shaped member 60 and disposed at one axial end of the housing 10, and being capable of igniting and burning the gas generating agent 30 in the cup-shaped member 60.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
