Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas generator which has a simple and reliable opening mechanism while providing a possibility of making a flow rate of a gas diffused to an air bag adaptable.SOLUTION: A gas generator for an air bag includes: a first gas reserve 10 having a first orifice; a first mechanism 30 provided to open the first gas reserve 10; and a diffusion chamber 40 provided to diffuse an exhaust gas. The gas generator for an air bag further includes: a mix chamber 50 having at least one first communication surface with the diffusion chamber 40; and a second mechanism 60 having a second actuator and a movable closing part between a first closing position for closing a second communication surface with the diffusion chamber 40 and a second passage position where the second communication surface is free.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
