To provide a gas insulated apparatus which ensures an enhanced insulating performance of an insulation structural member installed inside the apparatus.
A high voltage conductor 3 for carrying current is installed in a metal vessel 2, in which an insulating gas is encapsuled, and is supported in insulation by an insulation structural member 5 of thermohardening nature in the metal vessel 2. In this gas insulated apparatus, a ceramic material in fusion is sprayed to the surface of the structural member 5 to form an insulating covering, which enhances the tight contacting of the ceramic material to the side faces of the structural member 5 and also makes it uniform. Use of this structural member 5 with fusion sprayed ceramics allows establishing a gas insulated apparatus exerting a high insulating performance.
