To provide a gas insulated electric apparatus which allows for enhancement in the insulation reliability of an apparatus by relaxing electric field concentration.
The gas insulated electric apparatus includes a closed container constituted by coupling metal flanges at both ends thereof and internally filled with insulating gas, a high voltage conductor disposed in the closed container, an insulation spacer insulating and supporting the high voltage conductor on one side and having the other side disposed between the coupling flanges, a sealing groove formed in the insulation spacer facing the coupling flange and sealing the insulating gas, an O-ring applied to the sealing groove, and a conductive coating formed on the inner surface of the sealing groove and having the same potential as that of the coupling flange.
