To provide a gas insulated electric device that reliably traps metal a foreign matter inside a gas insulated electric device and reliably continues to trap the metal foreign matter without floating the trapped metal foreign matter again even if an adhesive material deteriorates or device vibration occurs.
A high-voltage conductor 2 is installed inside a grounded tank 3, filled with insulating gas, via an insulating spacer. A metal plate 5 is formed into a shape in which each protrusion 5e-5h and each recess 5a, 5b, and 5c are alternately arranged to form each low electric-field part at the bottom of the grounded tank 3 so as to prevent metal foreign matter from floating. Further, each adhesive layer 6a, 6b, and 6c is provided only at each low electric-field part of each recess 5a, 5b, and 5c.
