PURPOSE: To prevent the dispersion of a poisonous gas and the breakage of a change over switch-gear chamber, by releasing the supra-atmospheric pressure gas in said chamber, generated due to an accident and the like, into a closed space, not the outside air.
CONSTITUTION: When an accident happens in a changeover switchgear chamber and the chamber is in the state of supra-atmospheric pressure, a releasing device 23 works to release the supra-atmospheric pressure gas into a transformer tank 6. In this case the pressure in the tank 6 is increased in proportion to the amount of a released gas but the amount of the released gas is generally small enough for the amount of the gas in the transformer tank 6, and therefore the internal pressure of the transformer tank 6 is well in the range of the permissible pressure of the tank and an abnormality is detected by an abnormality detector. Then the gas is drawn and the inside is inspected. Mounting the releasing device 23 to a guide pipe 22 arranged outside the transformer tank 6 is convenient for the inspection of the releasing device 23.
