To provide a pump which is capable of being used also for pumping up a stronly corrosive molten metal, equipped with a small number of moving parts, simple in structure and comprising a small number of parts.
This pump is a gas lift pump for a molten metal applying the gas lift pump which sends gas into the liquid from the bottom end of a cylindrical ceramic duct 20 and draws up the liquid by the action of ascending gas. The cylindrical ceramic duct 20 is configured of a double circular pipe composed of a ceramic inner pipe 21 and a ceramic outer pipe 22. The bottom end parts of both of the ceramic pipe 21 and the ceramic outer pipe 22 are set opposite to each other to form an annular gas blowing out nozzle 24. The ceramic inner pipe 21 and the ceramic outer pipe 22 are connected with a metallic bellows 27 to form a structure for introducing a high pressure gas there. The annular gas blowing out nozzle 24 is opened automatically at the time of pumping up work, and is shut automatically at the time of stoppage, so even in the case of use for pumping up, the nozzle is prevented from clogging.
