PURPOSE: To improve the safety by a method wherein a locking member prevents an ignition lever from being pushed down when a lighter is out of use, a releasing action enables ignition when it is used, and the locking member is automatically returned to the locking position by rising of the ignition lever after ignition.
CONSTITUTION: A locking member 64 is able to move straight between a locking position where an ignition lever 62 is prevented from being pushed down and a releasing position where the ignition lever is allowed to be pushed down, and is forced to stay at the locking position. When the locking member 64 is moved to the releasing position, a connection protrusion 68a is fitted in a connection recessed part 64f, so that the locking member 64 is held at the releasing position and when the ignition lever 62 is pushed down, the connection between the protrusion and the recessed part is released, so that the locking member 64 is released from the releasing position. Thereby, the locking member 64 released is held at around the releasing position by a holding protrusion 62a and a holding notch 64a until the ignition lever is reset, and returned to the locking position when the ignition lever 62 is reset. Therefore, the safety and operability can be improved.
