Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a gas-liquid contact apparatus low in gas pressure loss and large in the contact amt. of a liquid with gas by parallelly arranging a large number of rod-shaped members having specific thickness within a container in a vertical direction at a proper interval to form a vertical reed screen and allowing a liquid to flow down from the upper parts of the rod-shaped members.
CONSTITUTION: A large number of rod-shaped members 61 with a thickness of 1-10mm are parallelly arranged within a container 1 having a gas inlet 7A and a gas outlet 7B in a vertical direction at a definite interval to form a vertical reed screen 6. A means 2 supplying a liquid 9 is formed above the rod-shaped members 61 and the liquid flowing down along the rod-shaped members 61 forms liquid membranes between the adjacent rod-shaped members to be brought into contact with gas. By this constitution, a gas-liquid contact apparatus low in gas pressure loss and extended in contact area can be obtained. Therefore, this apparatus can be arranged on the way of a flue of combustion gas such as exhaust gas of a boiler. In this case, a gas-liquid contact space is separated into a plurality of spaces if necessary and constituted so that gas is passed in series.
