To provide a gas-liquid contact device using a gas-liquid jet generator in which a negative pressure is generated by a liquid turning flow to jet a gas-liquid mixed fluid and suitable for the purification of water, the replenishment of dissolved oxygen, or the like, and in which a pump can be driven without any trouble and cost reducibility is excellent.
In the gas-liquid contact device, a cylindrical gas-liquid jet generator provided with a liquid inflow port, a mixed fluid jetting opening and a gas suction tube and in which the negative pressure is generated by the liquid turning flow to jet the gas-liquid mixed fluid is equipped inside a liquid storage vessel provided with a liquid discharge port at a part lower than the jetting opening, and also, a liquid transfer tube connecting the liquid discharge port and the liquid inflow port via a pump is provided. In the opening, the cross-sectional shape of the center in the liquid moving direction is the one in which the outlet side is continuously enlarged at least from the inflow side of the liquid to the outflow side in a curve shape. Also, the distance orthogonal to the opening face between the outlet of the opening and the liquid discharge port is controlled to ≤2.5 times the inside diameter of the cylindrical gas-liquid jet generator.
