To provide a gas-liquid separator for a compressor which improves vaporization efficiency and hardly causes noise increase due to air column resonance or the like in a gas-liquid separator.
The gas-liquid separator for a compressor is constituted of a closed container with an upper cover part, a lower cover part, and a body, a refrigerant suction pipe for penetrating the center of the upper end of the closed container, and an outlet pipe for penetrating the lower end of the closed container to stand straight toward the inside of the closed container, wherein the shape of the body is vertically projected and recessed. Thereby, the vaporization efficiency of a liquid refrigerant is improved without enlarging the size of the gas-liquid separator, and additionally the noise increase of the air column resonance or the like can be suppressed.
