Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas meter system and a visible light receiving device that can keep the frequency of communication errors down by restraining optical noise coming from the outside while preventing the occurrence of a scar due to contact of lenses at a light emitting side and a light receiving side.SOLUTION: A gas meter system transmits meter information to a visible light receiving device by receiving visible light emitted by a light emitting unit 17 of a gas meter. The gas meter has a configuration to output the visible light to the outside through a light-emitting lens 17b provided at a first opening of a body. The visible light receiving device accepts the visible light through a light-receiving lens 23 provided at a second opening of a case member. A lens end face 17c of the light-emitting lens 17b is flush with or back toward inner side of an outer wall surface of the first opening. A lens end face 23c of the light-receiving lens 23 is flush with or back toward inner side of an outer wall surface of the second opening, and the lens end faces 17c, 23c cannot come into contact with each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
