Abstract:
To provide a gas meter with which it is possible to stabilize the measurement of a gas flow rate while suppressing an increase in device size and prevent pressure losses from increasing excessively.SOLUTION: A straight tube type gas meter comprises: a gas inflow port 11 for introducing a gas and a gas outflow port 12 for discharging a gas, which are formed in a meter body 10; a gas passage 13 extending from the gas inflow port 11 to the gas outflow port 12; and a flow velocity sensor 4 for measuring the flow velocity of a gas flowing in the gas passage 13. The gas passage 13 has, in a section from the gas inflow port 11 up to a passage portion where the flow velocity of a gas is measured by the flow velocity sensor 4, a bent part BP for causing the direction of gas flow to change to a perpendicular direction, and is further provided, in a section from the bent part BP to the passage portion, with a tabular grating member 6 formed by arraying plates in lattice form.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
