Abstract:
To provide a gas meter capable of improving the accuracy of discriminating the type of a gas appliance.SOLUTION: A disclosed gas meter includes: a flow rate measuring unit 11 that measures the flow rate at predetermined time intervals; an appliance discriminator 15 that discriminates gas appliance based on the change in flow rate measured by the flow rate measuring unit 11. The appliance discriminator 15 is configured to determine that the gas appliance after the start of operation is a specific appliance based on the presence or absence of a stable flow rate within the first predetermined period after the start of operation of gas appliances and when the absolute value of the difference between the maximum or minimum flow rate within the second predetermined period and the stable flow rate is greater than or equal to the given value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
